HC Deb 23 June 1913 vol 54 c811W
Mr. BIGLAND

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of the possibility of a monoply in the foreign meat supply in this country, it is the intention of the Government to offer to the Government of the Argentine Republic to take joint action with a view of preventing injury to the industry of the Argentine cattle trade and curtailing the possibility of the meat supply for our Home market falling into so few hands that inimical combinations could easily be effected?

Mr. BUXTON

I cannot at present add anything to the answer given on this subject to the hon. Member for North Shropshire on 11th June.
