§ Mr. McKENNAThe total number of prisoners who have been released on temporary discharge under the Act is thirty-one; fifteen of these are at present liable to arrest for having failed to return to prison at the expiration of their period of discharge, and this liability they can escape only by leaving the United Kingdom; how many have so escaped I am unable to say.
