§ Mr. FRANCIS MEEHANasked whether the Estates Commissioners have considered the application of Mrs. Catherine O'Donnell for reinstatement in the holding from which she was evicted on the Montgomery estate, Lisanerris, Drumkeerin, county Leitrim, in 1897; and whether, having regard to the fact that she has a large young family who wiil, If not reinstated, be compelled to emigrate, and to the fact that the occupying tenant is willing to take compensation, immediate steps will be taken for her reinstatement?
§ Mr. BIRRELLThe reply to the first part of the question is in the affirmative, and to the second part in the negative. The lands have already been purchased under the Land Purchase Acts, and are held by the present occupier subject to a land purchase annuity, and the Estates Commissioners have no power to make any further advance in respect of such lands.
