§ Mr. BOLANDasked the Chief Secretary for Ireland whether his attention has been called to the resolutions passed at a meeting of the Evicted Tenants Association at Killarney on 7th June, with reference to the cases of John Gaine and James Gaine, evicted tenants on the Colomb estate, near Kenmare, and to the acquisition of untenanted land; and can he state what action will be taken in the matter?
§ Mr. BIRRELLI have received a copy of the resolution referred to. As the hon. Member has already been informed, the Estates Commissioners, after inquiry and consideration, decided to take no action in the matter of the Gaines' application for reinstatement, and do not intend to provide them with holdings elsewhere.
