§ Mr. THOMASasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that the Great Northern Railway Company are now stopping amounts varying from 2s. to 2s. 6d. per week out of the wages of men in receipt of 21s. per week as back payments under Part II. of the National Insurance Act, although the Company may have stopped the weekly contributions in the usual way; whether he can say if this procedure was contemplated in the Act; and whether it has received his sanction?
