§ Mr. NEWTONasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many beds sanctioned by the Local Government Board are at present available in the county of Essex for patients needing sanatorium treatment; how such beds are distributed over the county; and how many of them are available for the dependants of insured persons?
§ Mr. LLOYD GEORGEEight sanatoria and hospitals in the county of Essex, containing 159 beds, have been approved by the Local Government Board for the reception of persons entitled to sanatorium benefit under the National Insurance Act. I will circulate information as to the addresses of these institutions. They are available for either insured persons or their dependants.
