HC Deb 10 January 1913 vol 46 c1546W
Mr. SNOWDEN

asked the President of the Board of Trade if it is permissible for a workman who is insured under the unemployment part of the National Insurance Act to stamp his card with the full stamp weekly when he is out of employment?

Mr. BUXTON

No contributions are payable in respect of any workman under Part II. of the National Insurance Act while he is unemployed. It is not permissible for a workman to affix stamps to his unemployment book for any period during which he is out of employment, and any stamps so affixed are not valid contributions under Part II. of the Act.
