HC Deb 10 January 1913 vol 46 cc1547-8W
Sir J. D. REES

asked the President of the Board of Trade what is the amount of the export of gold from British gold-producing possessions to countries outside the British Empire?

Mr. BUXTON

The total value of the exports of gold of domestic production, inclusive of the exports of gold-bearing quartz, from British Dominions, Colonies, and Possessions to foreign countries in 1911–12, was approximately £1,500,000, nearly the whole of which was exported from Canada to the United States of America.
