§ Mr. EYRES-MONSELLasked the Home Secretary whether he has inquired into 1399W the case of H. Taylor, of Worcester, who has been confined to Powick Lunatic Asylum; and, if so, whether he is satisfied with the result of those inquiries?
§ Mr. McKENNAI am satisfied from inquiries which I have made into this case through the Lunacy Commissioners that this patient was properly admitted into the asylum. The discharge of a patient is a matter entirely for the Visiting Committee of the Asylum, and I have no power to interfere with their discretion.
