§ Sir P. MAGNUSasked the President of the Board of Education whether, having regard to Section 17, Sub-section 3 (6), of the Education Act, 1902, the Board give any, and, if so, what encouragement to the nomination of persons actively engaged in teaching as members of local education committees?
Mr. PEASEUnder the Section referred to, appointments to education committees are made by the local education authorities, and so long as the requirements of the Section are carried out I do not think it would be advisable for me to make representations as to what persons should be appointed.
