§ Mr. HAROLD BAKERThe answer to the first, second, and fifth questions is in the affirmative. On the third question the Secretary of State has no statement to make at present. As regards the cost of the system mentioned in the fourth question, I would refer the hon. Member to the answer given on the 22nd October last in reply to a question by my hon. Friend the Member for Roxburghshire. The appointments recently made at Oxford, Cambridge, Manchester, and Glasgow, entail additional net expenditure of £700 a year.
