§ Mr. CRUMLEYasked the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention has been called to the fact that the principal shipping companies connected with the port of Dublin have agreed to pool pig traffic freights for ten years; that they are competing for cattle traffic and are giving undue preference to the shipping of cattle over pigs, to the loss of those engaged in the Irish pig trade; and will he grant an inquiry in these matters so as to afford Irish pig traders an opportunity of proving that the congestion which occurred during the last six months was due to the system of pooling referred to?
