§ Mr. BURNSThe district auditor, at the recent audit of the Lambeth Borough Council's accounts, raised the question of the legality of certain payments of full wages by the council to a workman temporarily incapacitated through accident, but he has not made any disallowance or surcharge of any such payment by the council, and the Local Government Board would have no jurisdiction in the matter, except upon an appeal to them against his decision in disallowing or allowing such a payment.
