HC Deb 04 February 1913 vol 47 c1999W
Mr. CLANCY

asked the Secretary to the Treasury whether, in declining to make a Grant for the improvement of the harbour of Skerries, county of Dublin, on the ground that there were no resident fishermen there, the Development Fund Commissioners were aware of, and took into account, the fact that the harbour is frequented by fishing boats from the harbours of Kilkeel, Ramsay and Peel (Isle of Man), Arklow, and Loughshinny, county of Dublin; and, if not, whether they will now make inquiries on this point, with a view to revising their decision?

Mr. MASTERMAN

When the Development Commissioners came to their decision, they were aware of, and took into account, the fact that Skerries is occasionally visited by fishing boats from other ports.
