§ Mr. BIRRELLThe net expenditure from revenue during the year ended 31st March, 1912, amounted to £7,134,849; excluding electric lighting, gas, and 55W tramway undertakings in the hands of municipal authorities, the amount was £6,346,161. Additional expenditure amounting to £1,383,615 was defrayed from loans and stock, of which sums amounting to £194,275 were expended in connection with the three undertakings mentioned above. The figures for the year ended 31st March, 1913, will not be available until about February of next year.
