HC Deb 21 April 1913 vol 52 cc43-4W
Mr. BOYTON

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether it is the intention of the Commissioners of Inland Revenue to proceed further in their claim in the Rchmond case, or whether the two ladies against whom the claim for Increment Value Duty was originally preferred may now consider themselves as free from any liability in respect of any future proceedings which may be brought by the Comsioners of Inland Revenue against them?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

In the case referred to by the hon. Member it was the intention of the Commissioners of Inland Revenue, unless the appellant desired an earlier settlement, to allow the claim for duty to stand over pending a final decision being come to in the Lumsden case.
