HC Deb 09 April 1913 vol 51 cc1195-6W
Lord C. BERESFORD

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he is aware that cases exist in Portsmouth Dockyard of men using drills who are unable to obtain drills already ground, although they are checked 4 per cent. under any circumstances; whether he is aware that the men have represented the case through the proper quarter, and have as yet received no reply; and whether he will hold an inquiry into the case?

Mr. LAMBERT

The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. I

understand that a letter has been received from the Labourers' Union by the local officers in regard to this matter, which is now under consideration.
