§ Mr. BURNSYes, Sir. There are a number of Poor Law institutions for children, having gardens or agricultural land attached to them, in which the children receive some training in gardening, dairying, or farming. Some of the larger institutions certified under the Poor Law (Certified Schools) Act, 1862, also afford similar instruction.
