Mr. BUXTONThe value of merchandise imported into Japan has increased from £29,325,000 in 1900 to £52,451,000 in 1911,i.e., by £23,126,000, or 79 per cent. During the same period the value of the exports of Japanese produce and manufactures has increased from £20,535,000 to £45,223,000, i.e., by £24,688,000, or 120 per cent.
