§ Mr. HOBHOUSEThere are twenty -three magistrates for the County Palatine of Lancaster upon the rota for the Warrington Petty Sessional Division. Appointments to the county bench are usually made on the nomination of the; Lord Lieutenant, who has not intimated to me that any necessity exists for the appointment of more magistrates.
