Mr. MacCALLUM SCOTTasked the Attorney-General whether his attention had been called to the statements contained in the report of the Senior Official; Receiver on the affairs of the Bank of Egypt; and if, in view of the facts thereby disclosed, he will consider the advisability, in the public interest, of ordering a prosecution of all or some of the directors responsible for the failure of the bank?
§ Sir RUFUS ISAACSI have caused inquiry to be made, and I am informed that, as far as the Official Receiver's investigation has proceeded, he sees no ground for the institution of any criminal proceedings against any of the directors or against any of the officers of the bank.
