§ Mr. YERBURGHasked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether a considerable 1496W sum of money is due to many officers and men of the Royal Navy for captures of arms by His Majesty's ships in the Persian Gulf; whether some of the said captures date back as far as two and a half years; and whether the Admiralty will pay the moneys due without further delay?
§ Dr. MACNAMARAThe matter is still under consideration. More than one Department is concerned, and as any payments are a matter of discretion and not of right the question has necessitated a considerable amount of correspondence which has not yet been completed.
