§ Viscount WOLMERasked the President of the Board of Education whether 509W teachers who have retired voluntarily through ill-health prior to 31st March, 1912, and who did not apply for a disablement pension upon their retirement, and who have attained the age of 65 since 31st March, 1912, come under the old or new superannuation regulations?
Mr. PEASEThe provisions of the Elementary School Teachers (Superannuation) Act, 1912, with regard to the increase in the rate of superannuation allowances, apply to all teachers who attain the age of sixty-five after 31st March, 1912. The teachers to whom the hon. Member refers would, therefore, if otherwise qualified, be entitled to participate in the benefits conferred by the Act.
