HC Deb 11 November 1912 vol 43 cc1749-50W
Mr. HUGH BARRIE

asked what was the amount of the Queen's Jubilee Fund of the Royal Irish Constabulary at 31st October, 1902, and at 31st October, 1911; whether this fund is governed by rules and was established by the late Queen Victoria out of money subscribed by the whole force in 1887 on her Jubilee; and is it intended that the proposed Home Rule Parliament should have control of this fund?

Mr. BIRRELL

The fund is a private one established by the Royal Irish Constabulary in commemoration of the Golden Jubilee of Her late Majesty Queen Victoria and administered by a Committee of members of the force. The fund, not being controlled by Government, will not be affected by the Government of Ireland Bill.
