§ Mr. RUNCIMANWith regard to land banks I would refer the hon. Member to the speech which I made in this House on the 23rd February last. Since that date the Board have been in communication with some of the leading joint-stock banks with a view to secure their support for co-I operative credit societies for the benefit of agriculture, and I hope to be in a position to make an announcement on the subject shortly.
