BAKERThe official in question who had been appointed Financial Secretary in 1902 by Lord George Hamilton with the approval of the Council of India, was promoted on 28th May, 1911, by the present Secretary of State, with the approval of his Council, to the post of Assistant Under-Secretary of State and Clerk of the Council.
