HC Deb 21 May 1912 vol 38 c1882W
Mr. TOUCHE

asked the President of the Local Government Board if he has received a resolution passed by the guardians of the poor of the parish of St. Mary, Islington, asking that such steps shall be taken as may seem necessary to prevent the disfranchisement of men who had to accept Poor Law relief in consequence of the coal strike, although in no way responsible for it; and if he can see his way to take any action in the matter?

Mr. BURNS

I have received resolution from the Islington Guardians to the effect mentioned. Perhaps I may refer the hon. Member to the replies already given this Session to previous questions on this subject.
