§ Colonel SEELYThe information required is not available at the War Office, and a special Return would therefore be necessary. But I do not think it would be advisable to undertake this. A man is asked, on his enlistment, the religious denomination to which he belongs, and I consider that it would not be desirable to ask further questions on the subject of his Church denomination.
