§ Mr. BIRRELLThe date of the Local Government Board's letter to the Cootehill No. 2 Rural District Council suggesting that the cottages should be built by direct labour was 30th November, 1911. On 1st December, 1911, the council directed that "posters be put up through the district, and also to advertise" for contractors, but the Board have no information as to the actual date of the advertisement.
