§ Mr. KEIR HARDIEasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware of the inconvenience which is being caused to the travelling public by the curtailment of the train service on nearly all the lines, trunk and local; and whether he 2034W will inquire what stocks of coal the various railway companies have on hand, in order to ascertain how far the curtailed service is due to actual scarcity of fuel?
Mr. BUXTONIt must be left to the individual railway companies to decide the reductions in the train service which it is prudent for them to make under the existing circumstances.
