HC Deb 11 March 1912 vol 35 c924W
Major ANSTRUTHER-GRAY

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he has now received a full Report of the circumstances attending the destruction of the fishermen's nets and gear on the morning of the 20th February in the Firth of Forth; whether the claims for the damage done have been received; and if he is yet in a position to say whether compensation based on these claims will be paid by the Admiralty, and, if so, when?

Dr. MACNAMARA

I may say, without prejudice, that the claims have been received and investigation is being made as promptly as possible, but some little time must necessarily elapse before the matter is settled.
