HC Deb 11 March 1912 vol 35 c915W
Mr. GOLDMAN

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he has now been able to consider the case of the Customs port clerks arising out of the amalgamation of the Customs and Excise Departments; and, if not, will the recommendations of the Departmental Committee concerning these clerks be deferred from operation pending his decision?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

I will refer the hon. Member to the answer given to the hon. Member for Faversham on 27th February. I hope to be able shortly to resume the adjourned deputation, and I do not think it is necessary to take the action suggested in the last part of the question.
