§ Mr. BIRRELLEighty-nine men applicants for the Marlborough Street Training College attended at the King's Scholarship examination of 1911. Seventy-five of these passed the examination, and sixty-six were admitted to the College for the session commencing in September last. The total number of men admitted to the college for the 1911–13 course is sixty-nine. The number of failures amongst first and second year students at the last July examinations in the Training Colleges referred to is as follows:—
