HC Deb 20 June 1912 vol 39 c1988W
Mr. NORTON-GRIFFITHS

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he will consider the advisability of sending a special Naval Commission comprised of British admirals to visit Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, to further the interest mnifested in his scheme of Imperial naval policy?

Dr. MACNAMARA

All useful and practicable ways of developing Imperial naval defence will, of course, receive the consideration of His Majesty's Government, but it is not anticipated that the course proposed in the question would be found the best to adopt.
