HC Deb 20 June 1912 vol 39 c1995W
Mr. WILLIAM THORNE

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he can now state the result of his communications with the Central London Railway Company in connection with the complaint that no workmen's trains are run by the company from Shepherd's Bush before half-past six in the morning?

Mr. ROBERTSON

I understand that the railway company are at present engaged in reconstruction works in the tunnels and are relaying their track, and this work can only be carried on while the line is closed for the night. Since the 3rd June, however, their service of trains has begun to run at 6.0 a.m. from Wood Lane. The Board of Trade are at present in communication with them on the question of providing an earlier service, and I will let my hon. Friend know the result.
