HC Deb 13 June 1912 vol 39 c1202W
Mr. LANSBURY

asked the President of the Local Government Board whether his attention has been drawn to the fact that E. G. Bailey, of Keinton Mandeville, has been ordered by the magistrates to have his child vaccinated and pay 6s. costs, although he made a declaration under the Vaccination Act, 1907, within four months of the child's birth, but accidentally omitted to send it to the vaccination officer within seven days from the date of it having been granted; whether he is aware that the defendant told the magistrates he objected to the vaccination of this child because he now had a daughter suffering through vaccination; and whether he will instruct the vaccination officer under the circumstances not to take any further proceedings against this conscientious objector?

Mr. BURNS

My attention has been drawn to this matter, but as the case has been decided in a Court of Law I cannot intervene in it.
