HC Deb 13 June 1912 vol 39 cc1205-6W
Captain O'NEILL

asked the Postmaster-General whether an official of the Post Office has recently forbidden the mail car running between Ballymena and Ahoghill, county Antrim, to carry certain parcels, such as meat and groceries; whether he is aware that for years past it has been the custom for these cars to carry passengers and parcels in addition to the regular mails; will he state the name of this official and under whose orders he acted; and will he now give instructions that parcels shall be carried as heretofore for the convenience of the locality?

Mr. HERBERT SAMUEL

I am having inquiry made in the matter, and I will communicate the result to the hon. Member.
