HC Deb 12 June 1912 vol 39 c1004W
Captain CLIVE

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War what improvement in soldiers' messing, if any, has resulted from the creation last year of the post of messing adviser to the War Office, and the appointment to it of Colonel Morgan. C.B., D.S.O.; whether he can now say if the office is to be continued; and, if so, whether he proposes to follow the precedent of appointing a retired officer to it, and who is to receive the appointment?

Colonel SEELY

During his tenure of office Colonel Morgan gave valuable advice; the question of the best method of continuing this advisory office is now under consideration.
