HC Deb 04 June 1912 vol 39 cc113-4W
Mr. WATT

asked the Secretary to the Treasury if he can state what Lords of Appeal have acted as arbitrators in cases of dispute during the last three years; in how many appeals have they so acted; and can he give the names of the cases for reference?

Mr. MASTERMAN

I fear I have no information with regard to the points raised by the hon. Member.

Mr. WATT

asked the Secretary to the Treasury whether it is his Department that is responsible for the terms of the patents, granted to Lords of Appeal on appointment to their offices; and, if so, will he say whether work other than judgments in arbitration cases is permissable under these patents?

Mr. MASTERMAN

The answer is in the negative.
