§ Mr. BIRRELLThe Commissioners of National Education inform me that the number of vacant places in Saint Mary's Training College, Belfast, and in Our Lady of Mercy Training College, Carysfort Park, Blackrock, County Dublin, for the session beginning in September, 1913, cannot at this date be exactly stated, but approximately the number of vacancies in the former college will be fifty-one and in the latter 108. The Commissioners require that, subject to certain conditions, 20 per cent. of the places available in a training college shall be set apart for untrained teachers.
