HC Deb 11 December 1912 vol 45 c467W
Mr. BARNES

asked the Lord Advocate if the undertaking given to the joint committee, and as a result of which the city of Glasgow was granted approval under the National Insurance Act, has yet been carried out, namely, that the recommendations of Mr. Addison Smith would be carried out; and was part of the recommendation of Mr. Smith that a delegate meeting of the society should be called, and if such meeting has been held?

Mr. MASTERMAN

Meetings and correspondence have been proceeding and are proceeding between the representatives of the City of Glasgow Friendly Society and the Assistant Registrar of Friendly Societies for Scotland, in order to adjust the amendments of rules for carrying out the matters in question. As soon as this adjustment is complete, a meeting of delegates will be held in order that the new rules may be submitted to them.
