Mr. HARCOURTThe number of bales exported from the British East Africa Protectorate and Uganda during the year 1911, was 277 and 19,323, respectively. My hon. Friend will find some interesting information regarding the production of cotton in the British Possessions in the report of the British Cotton Growing Association for the year 1911, a copy of which I am sending him. With regard to the production of cotton in Egypt, I must refer him to the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
