§ Sir EDWARD COATESasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what would be the position under the proposed Government Amendments for the grouping of small societies of a friendly society consisting of two or three hundred members, established in London, whose members are spread over more than half-a-dozen counties?
Mr. McKINNON WOODThe society would be grouped with other London societies, but the interests of other county groups of societies are protected by the proviso to Sub-Clause 5 of the Government Amendment.
