Mr. MacCALLUM SCOTTasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he has had under consideration any proposals for facilitating the transfer of Consols and for increasing the number of holders of those securities; and whether he anticipates that he will be able to make any announcement on the subject this Session?
§ Mr. LLOYD GEORGEI have had this matter under consideration for some time; and I hope to be able to introduce legislation in the course of this Session to enable certain Government securities (including Consols) to be transferred by deed.
