HC Deb 21 March 1911 vol 23 cc370-1W
Mr. HUNT

asked the President of the Board of Education whether, in view of the fact that he has given special permission for the children in the elementary and other schools in Wales to celebrate St. David's Day and to make it a holiday, on which patriotic addresses may be given and patriotic songs sung by the children, he will grant the same privileges to children in England on St. George's Day?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

I do not think that I can usefully add anything to the answer which was given to the hon. Member by my hon. Friend the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Education on the 4th April, 1910.
