§ Mr. HICKS BEACHasked the Secretary to the Treasury whether he will issue a statement showing the sums that have been promised by the Road Board to the various local highway authorities, and also the amounts that the local authorities are required to expend in order to obtain these grants?
§ Mr. HOBHOUSEA list of the advances made by the Road Board with the approval of the Treasury was published in the newspaper Press on or about 13th February. Further lists will be published from time to time. These statements show in each case the estimated cost of the work of improvement and the amount of the Board's contribution thereto.
