§ Mr. FFRENCHasked the Chief Secretary whether, in view of the number of evicted tenants in South Wexford belonging to the Leigh estate and elsewhere still unprovided for, he will ascertain from the Estates Commissioners how much untenanted land there still remains in South Wexford; and whether the Estates Commissioners propose to negotiate for it with a view to divide it amongst the evicted tenants?
§ Mr. BIRRELLThe statistics of the Estates Commissioners are not kept by parliamentary divisions. The Commissioners are in negotiation for close on 2,000 acres of untenanted land in county Wexford, and, when acquired, they will have regard in its distribution to the evicted tenants in that county whose applications have been approved.
