§ Mr. CREANasked the Chief Secretary whether he is aware that the Estates Commissioners are at present investigating 978W the terms of purchase agreed to by the landlord and tenants on the Heard estate; and, if so, what action they intend taking in connection with the case of Mr. Corkery, who was evicted from his holding on that estate?
§ Mr. BIRRELLThe Estates Commissioners have received an application from Mrs. Ellen Corkery for reinstatement in a holding formerly occupied by her on the estate of Richard Heard, and now in the possession of another tenant, and have noted her name for consideration in the allotment of any suitable untenanted land which may be acquired by them. The Commissioners cannot identify any estate of Richard Heard as pending before them for sale under the Land Purchase Acts.

§ Mr. BIRRELLThe reply to the first paragraph of the question is in the affirmative. Woods' name has been noted for consideration in the allotment of any suitable untenanted land which may be acquired by the Estates Commissioners.
