§ Mr. KEATINGasked the Secretary to the Treasury on what date the Report of the Committee appointed to inquire into the conditions of service of the Excise staff, as a result of their separation from the Inland Revenue and transfer to the Customs, will be presented to the House; and whether, in view of the delay in the publication of the Report, he will undertake that any increases of salary or other emoluments or allowances recommended by the Report will be made to take effect retrospectively?
