HC Deb 05 July 1911 vol 27 cc1299-300W
Mr. PALMER

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether he will explain why the officers and men of the 79th Cameron Highlanders of Canada, who were sent to attend the Coronation in London at the expense of their colonel, and who took part in lining the streets at the Coronation, were not given the King's medal; and whether he will reconsider the matter, in view of the impression which will be caused in Winnipeg by this treatment on the part of the War Office?

Colonel SEELY

The detachment were given Coronation medals in the same proportion as it is proposed to give them to the Regular Army.
